European Blackjack: The Main Rules

There are many rules to the most widely played card game on the planet, Blackjack. While it is difficult to know and remember all of them, there are several important ones to keep in mind, so that you can enjoy a successful night at the Blackjack table.

European Blackjack is always played with two decks of playing cards, each deck with 52 cards. The goal of the game is to reach 21, or to come as close to 21 as possible without going over.  Jacks, Queens, and Kings, also known as face cards, have a value of 10. Aces can have a value of 1 or 11, which you get to decide. You are given 2 cards at the beginning and you are allowed to draw an additional 9 cards to reach 21, if needed.
